About Us

DRIVE SMART Colorado Springs (DSCS) was founded in 1989 as a privately funded grass-roots community traffic safety program. It operated as such until 2003 when it was brought into the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). DSCS serves as the traffic safety education arm of the CSPD. DRIVE SMART has continued to operate as it has since 1989. (For more information, see "History")
