NEVER put a rear-facing infant seat in the front seat of a vehicle with a front passenger airbag.
It is strongly recommended that children 12 years old and younger NEVER ride in the front passenger seat where an airbag is installed. Children should ride properly restrained in the back seat.
If older children must ride in the front seat, make sure they are always properly belted an the seat is moved back as far as possible.
Always wear your safety belt. Safety belts help keep you away from an airbag module when an airbag deploys.
Keep as much distance between yourself and the airbag as is practical to operate the vehicle.
When an airbag deploys, you will see white powder that appears to be smoke. This cornstarch-based talcum is harmless and quickly disappears.
