Pikes Peak Region - DUI Task Force
The mission of the Pikes Peak Region DUI Task Force (PPRDUI) is to pool the resources of area law enforcement agencies ( El Paso , Teller and Pueblo Counties ) for the unified goal of traffic safety and impaired driving enforcement and education.
The purpose of the PPRDUI is to reduce the amount of DUI drivers, wrecks, and fatalities in this area by identifying those drivers who are found to be impaired from alcohol and/or drugs while operating a motor vehicle on the highways an byways of Colorado . The Task Force will identify and investigate those drivers found to be impaired to the slightest degree and to remove them from the roads of Colorado .
An important goal of the PPRDUI is the education and increased awareness of the community regarding the negative aspects of driving while impaired. By accomplishing this goal, the Task Force will reduce the number of DUI related traffic fatalities. The education of underage drinking-drivers is another goal of the Task Force. Through enforcement, education and awareness, the Pikes Peak Region DUI Task Force will reduce the number of impaired drivers in our area and make our roadways safer for all motorists.
